Giant Crumpets
150 plain flour
200ml warm water
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp warm water
1 tsp yeast(8g fresh/1 tsp dried)
Vanilla Butter
250g salted butter
Seeds from 1 vanilla pod
Serves 3
Freshly homemade crumpets served with a nice smidgen of vanilla butter, Apple, Quince & Gingerbread Jam, poppy seeds and toasted pecans. The sweet flavour of vanilla and the accompanying nutty and crunchy flavour of pecans and poppy seeds to support the magical ruby red Apple, Quince & Gingerbread Jam, this is a wonderful treat for breakfast! For the vanilla butter, just mix the butter and vanilla together in a stand mixer until thoroughly combined.
